PSO Launches Nationwide Ramadan Donation Drive at Fuel Stations

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has launched an innovative nationwide donation campaign to help people give Zakat and charity during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative is designed to make it easier for the public to participate in giving to those in need. The campaign was announced on February 12, 2026 during a formal signing ceremony held at PSO House in Karachi.

The programme will allow donors to contribute at more than 130 PSO fuel stations located across major cities in Pakistan. Cities participating include Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Sukkur, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar. These outlets will function not just as refuelling points but as accessible donation hubs for the community.

The ceremony was chaired by Rizwan Ahmed, Chairman of the PSO CSR Trust. At the event, PSO signed a Memorandum of Understanding with five well-known charitable organisations. These include LRBT, Patients’ Aid Foundation, Indus Hospital & Health Network, HANDS, and The Citizens Foundation. Representatives from each organisation attended the event contributing to the credibility and outreach of the initiative.

The PSO CSR Trust has said that the initiative will not only help raise funds but will also boost awareness about giving and community support during Ramadan. PSO’s decision to involve its fuel stations across Pakistan reflects its long-standing role as a socially responsible corporation with deep roots in the country’s communities. Rahim Khan, a CSR expert, said “this campaign could redefine how public and private sectors collaborate for social good in Pakistan.” This quote underscores the wider importance of corporate participation in public welfare.

Ramadan is a month when many Muslims increase their charity and help the underprivileged. Zakat, one of the Five Pillars of Islam, encourages giving to people in need. By using fuel stations as donation points, PSO hopes to reach a broad segment of the public including commuters and local businesses. Experts believe this model could improve convenience and increase donations significantly.

PSO’s move comes at a time when Pakistan continues to face economic challenges and rising poverty. Public-private partnerships like this campaign could help alleviate some burdens and mobilise resources where they are needed most.
