New Omoda 7 PHEV Arrives in Pakistan at Rs10.649 Million

Omoda & Jaecoo Pakistan has officially launched the Omoda 7 SHS-P plug-in hybrid SUV, expanding its new-energy vehicle lineup in the country.

The Omoda 7 PHEV Pakistan launch marks the brand’s fifth new-energy vehicle introduction in less than a year. NexGen Auto, the Nishat Group partner for Omoda and Jaecoo, is bringing the SUV to the local market.

The model follows the Jaecoo J6, Omoda E5, Jaecoo J7 and Jaecoo J5. Omoda had teased the 7 PHEV in July before its formal launch. PakWheels also reported that the vehicle appeared at its Karachi auto show and was confirmed for Pakistan.

Powertrain, range and exterior

The Omoda 7 SHS-P combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an 18 kWh battery and Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.

According to local launch details, the powertrain produces a combined 340 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. The company claims more than 90 kilometers of electric-only range under the WLTP testing standard.

Full-width LED taillights complete the rear design. The SUV includes a power tailgate, 60:40 split-folding rear seats and a full-size spare wheel.

The launch adds another plug-in hybrid to Pakistan’s fast-growing electrified SUV market. NexGen Auto has expanded Omoda and Jaecoo’s presence through a local assembly operation backed by Nishat Group investments.
