Pakistan has opened registration for Hajj 2027, launching the process nearly a year before bookings begin.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced that intending pilgrims can register online from June 22, 2026. Officials said early registration will help authorities plan for the pilgrimage and coordinate arrangements with Saudi Arabia.
The ministry urged applicants to complete registration as soon as possible. Only registered individuals will qualify for Hajj 2027 bookings.
According to the ministry, applicants can register through its official website. They do not need a passport during the initial registration stage. However, they must submit a passport when they book their Hajj package.
Officials said the passport must remain valid until at least November 16, 2027.
“Only individuals who complete the registration process in advance will be eligible to proceed with Hajj 2027 bookings,” the ministry said.
The ministry added that it will conduct bookings on a “first come, first served” basis. Authorities will continue accepting applications until they fill the available quota.
Registration Required Before Booking
The government introduced advance registration to improve planning and avoid last-minute complications.
Officials have repeatedly advised intending pilgrims to obtain or renew their passports early. They say passport validity remains one of the most important requirements for Hajj applications.
The ministry has already begun preparations for Hajj 2027 following the conclusion of Hajj 2026. Registered applicants will later choose between the government Hajj scheme and approved private operators after authorities announce the Hajj Policy 2027.
Officials expect the registration drive to provide an early estimate of demand. The data will help them coordinate visas, accommodation, transportation and other logistical arrangements.
Pakistan has also expanded digital services for Hajj applicants in recent years. Authorities say the changes have improved transparency and streamlined the process.
Quota Remains a Key Factor
Pakistan remains one of the largest contributors to the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
For Hajj 2026, Saudi Arabia allocated Pakistan a quota of 179,210 pilgrims. Thousands travelled under both government and private schemes.
Authorities have not yet announced Hajj 2027 package prices or payment schedules. They will release those details under the upcoming Hajj Policy 2027.
For now, officials have a simple message for intending pilgrims. Register early and ensure your passport remains valid beyond November 16, 2027.
Demand for Hajj continues to rise every year. Quotas remain limited. As a result, early registration could play a crucial role in securing a place for the 2027 pilgrimage.
