Infinix has launched the new Infinix Smart 20 in Pakistan as competition intensifies in the country’s fast growing budget smartphone market.
The device targets entry level users by offering a high refresh rate display, large battery and practical features at a price below Rs35,000.
Infinix introduced the phone in two storage variants priced at Rs30,999 and Rs34,999.
The company said the Smart 20 focuses on smooth visuals, everyday performance and battery efficiency for students and first time smartphone users.
One of the phone’s main highlights is its 6.78 inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Industry analysts say high refresh rate panels remain uncommon in Pakistan’s ultra budget smartphone category, where most competing devices still offer 60Hz or 90Hz displays.
The screen also reaches brightness levels close to 700 nits, helping improve outdoor visibility under daylight conditions.
Helio G81 and Android 16 Power the Device
The Smart 20 runs on MediaTek’s Helio G81 Ultimate chipset, a 12nm processor designed for light gaming, social media use and routine multitasking.
The smartphone ships with 4GB RAM in both variants.
Users can choose between 64GB and 128GB internal storage, while a microSD card slot allows storage expansion.
The device also runs Android 16 based XOS 16 software out of the box.
On the camera side, Infinix equipped the phone with an 8 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel selfie camera inside a punch hole display cutout.
Despite its entry level hardware, the Smart 20 supports 2K video recording at 30 frames per second, a feature rarely seen in this price category.
The phone also includes IP64 dust and splash resistance, dual SIM support and a side mounted fingerprint scanner.
Infinix further added an infrared blaster that allows users to control compatible home appliances directly through the smartphone.
Budget Smartphone Competition Intensifies
The Smart 20 carries a 5,200mAh battery paired with 15W wired charging support.
Pakistan’s smartphone market has become increasingly competitive as brands push feature rich devices into lower price segments.
Chinese smartphone makers including TECNO, realme and Xiaomi continue expanding aggressively in Pakistan’s budget category.
Analysts say rising inflation and weaker consumer purchasing power have increased demand for affordable smartphones with larger batteries and smoother displays.
The Smart 20’s pricing places it directly against several entry level Android phones competing for younger consumers and casual users.
Infinix has steadily expanded its footprint in Pakistan during recent years by focusing on aggressive pricing and feature heavy devices aimed at cost conscious buyers.
